High School

Well, since ya'll are posting H.S. grad pics, I'll post a pic that I happen to have on this computer. I had scanned it in last year for my reunion slide show. Taken about 3 days before graduation. I'm the end from the right... In order from left to right: Amie, Jenny, ME and Erika.

I actually still see Amie and Jenny on occasion. Haven't seen Erika in a while, although I'd love to.

Amie and I have been friends since 7th grade... We met on the bus...and sat together every day and talked about those wonderful books by VC Andrews. Totally what 7th graders should be reading, right? :) We still talk every few months on the phone. Should be more, but ya'll know how life gets.

Jenny and I worked together quite a bit on the reunion and talk occasionally through email. I love getting the updates on her twins, Molly & Avery! :)
Anyhow, that's what l looked like in June of 95.

Chef Kaylie in her Kitchen...

We got rid of our eliptical machine that was gathering dust (since if I'm working out, its at the gym)... that gave us a little extra space. SO, we decided to get Kaylie a kitchen. Everytime we are somewhere with a kitchen, Kaylie plays and plays. I was afraid at first that it would be a case of... now that I have it, I don't want to play with it.... HOWEVER, I was wrong!

Chef Kaylie LOVES her kitchen. Every morning she makes me breakfast. She just started wanting to wear her apron (because as you know, Maisy wears one in the book!)... She LOOKS adorable!
She often likes to serve up pizza and ice cream. What kind of ice cream you ask? WHY, "white ice cream!"
Anyhow, just had to share some pics of my little one looking adorable! :)

Thanks for looking!

Attack of the Swap Layouts! :) {and a little challenge}

FIRST of all...DO NOT GET ANY IDEAS ... the book on the box in the middle was out for our neighbor and I just used it to HOLD down the lid on the overflowing box thats under it.

Now to our regularly scheduled programing...
Here is what I have been working on. I pulled out ALL of my predone swap layouts... first pulled out all that have journaling, etc. AND then found pics for them... edited and cropped them. That took FOREVER! LOL! Then I uploaded them all to www.scrapbookpictures.com because they'll print those odd sizes... that took forever as well...because all of the photos are different sizes and you need to select each through a drop down menu.

BUT... hours...and days later... I have 150 pics in for processing and should be shipped to me very soon. THEN I can put them on the layouts...organize them by date and re-evaluate what I've got. I need to see what months have less, etc...and then I'll start the process over with some of the generic swap layouts. :) FUN FUN! However, I'm excited that I'll have about 100 m ore layouts in albums after I get through the first batch! WOO HOO!

OH...and just a little TIP to those of you that need to do this. When editing/cropping your photos, I HIGHLY recommend that you add the photo size to the name of your file. Ex. Kaylie Summer Fun LO 2x3. This made it SO much easier when uploading to scrapbookpictures!!! :)

***NOW for the CHALLENGE!!!***
Who wants to join me in using up those swap layouts! You know you have then somewhere... Reply to this post if you are joining in the fun and we'll check in with each other to see what our progress is! :) AND if you have actually used ALL of your swap layouts...post that as well. We'd all love to know who to be jealous of! LOL!

My Talented Little Artist!!!

Well, Kaylie has been attending a 2's program at Kaplan. Its kind of like a pre-pre kindergarten class! :) The teachers are very nice and Kaylie loves it. She goes once a week. The class is set up the same each week... Starts off with some free play including the Sand Table, PlayDoh and coloring....then they clean up and go to the rug for circle time...they sing songs and read books...then do a corresponding art project. After that we clean up for snack then head outside. Each week has a theme... Ocean, Music, Garden, Butterflies, Frogs, Transportation, etc...

Anyhow, here are her lovely art projects for ya'll to OOOhhhh and AAAAhhhhh over! :)

CKC - Valley Forge

Well, it was a heck of a day.
Kaylie, Marta (a friend) and I headed out for CKC at about 8:30 am this morning. We lucked out and didn't hit any traffic. We arrived at CKC at 10 on the dot...perfect timing, right?! UH!!! NO!!!
The power had been out all night and no one had been let in all day. We were finally let in at around 11.

The only good thing about that was Lisa Bearnson was outside signing autographs and taking pictures. SO... Kaylie and I had our pic taken with her. She was VERY nice and LOVED Miss Kaylie. :) She even said that she wanted to take Kaylie home with her. They smiled and laughed with each other a great deal. You can see in the pics that Kaylie was right at home with her! :)

I also had the opportunity to meet Ani, the owner of Paper Tapestry (one of the companies I design for). It was fun to see all the layouts up in person. The booth looks GREAT!!! And Ani is very nice!

Bought a few goodies...mostly Technique Tuesday stamps... but was actually pretty good (for me anyhow!!).

On the way home, we ran into a MAJOR thunder/rain storm. It was SO bad at times that we were driving about 2 miles an hour and everyone had on flashers. There was no shoulder so we all pretty much had to just keep driving. Kaylie had fallen asleep about 10 min before hitting traffic and the storm, and it woke her up so she was CRANKY for the whole 2.5 hour drive home (we're only 1.5 hrs away!)...

Anyhow, overall it was a fun day!!!
:)

**ETA...photos aren't uploading...I'll add later!!
